ABOUT ME – Being a real estate broker for almost 30 years in this gorgeous beach environment has truly been a wonderful experience in life. The people whom I’ve met and the fabulous properties that I’ve shown and sold over the years make me quite thankful to call the Ocean Isle Beach and surrounding coastal area “home”.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina back in the 1970′s I had my first stint in real estate with a firm in Columbia, SC, that dealt with investment properties. The passion must have begun there, because after working briefly with the American Bar Association in Washington, DC, and then with Builder Marts of America, Inc.,in Greenville, SC, I once again found myself back in the real estate profession – on the Carolina Coast!
I was a broker with the oldest and largest real estate firm at Ocean Isle for 17 years until I opened Pope Real Estate. As a past Vice-President and Secretary of the local Association of Realtors I offer my qualifications as a local area expert and a consistent multi-million dollar producer to you. I would be delighted to talk with you about any topic of real estate at the beach at any time. Island properties, golf course communities, and properties along the Intracoastal Waterway are my specialties and I’m simply bursting at the seams to share with you!
Living on the Waterway at the Shallotte Inlet has created another great passion for me – fishing! Any down time finds me on my dock hoping for flounder, trout, or drum to pass by! I am an avid tennis player as well and I even try to keep up with our two college surfer kids out in the waves. Yoga and strength training also fall into my schedule.
My husband and his family own a very unique oceanfront resort at Ocean Isle, The Winds Resort and Beach Club, and they have also been involved in the development of golf course communities such as Sea Trail Plantation at Sunset Beach. We are members of Camp United Methodist Church in Shallotte, and abolutely love living here!
